Reports reaching Basketballghana.com indicate Opoku Ware School’s Basketball Court will serve as a backdrop featured in rising star Yaw Tog’s music video.
The young rapper who gained wide acclaim with his hit song “Sore” is a popular member of the “Kumerican” clan of musicians based in Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi.
A picture of Yaw Tog standing in front of a camera on the hallowed basketball ground was shared on social media with the young rapper the picture on his Twitter page and adding the caption “Countdown”.
Opoku Ware School (OWASS) is a powerhouse on the Ghanaian High School basketball scene and is the most successful school in the Region.
OWASS won the 2016 edition of Ghana’s biggest High School basketball competition (Sprite Ball) and has dominated the regional competition with four straight regional titles in the Boys Division.
The Court has been at the heart of a long list of standout players who have played for the School over the past years.
