Basketballghana.com can confirm the contingent representing Kenya’s Men’s National Basketball Team (The Morans) have touched down in the country’s capital, Nairobi after securing qualification to the 2021 African Nations Basketball Championship (AfroBasket).

The Morans received a hero’s welcome in the aftermath of securing the East African nation’s qualification to the continental championship in 28 years.

A group of cultural dancers met the contingent and treated them to a series of energetic traditional dance and songs to the delight of the playing body.

Several high prominent personalities including famous Afro Pop Band Sauti Sol also met the team to congratulate them on their achievement.

President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta has congratulated the team for qualifying to the 30th edition of the AfroBasket due to be held in Kigali, Rwanda.
