Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Center Amida Brimah has joined his Fort Wayne Mad Ants teammates to see out the remainder of the NBA Gatorade League (G League) season.
The 2021 G League season is taking place in a bubble at the World Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida due to the outbreak of the corona virus.
Brimah had been absent from team activities due to his late arrival to the bubble before going through a mandatory eight days quarantine. He trained for the first time in the wee hours of Wednesday, February 17.
Ghana’s leading basketball portal understands, the 2014 National College Champion’s late arrival to the bubble was due to personal reasons he had to resolve.
Fort Wayne Mad Ants is in action later tonight against Santa Cruz Warriors that features 2019 NBA Champion Jeremy Lin. Brimah’s participation in tonight’s contest is up in the air.
Without the top shot blocking defender, Fort Wayne has lost three out of four games played so far; Brimah has experience in the G League after suiting up for two seasons for Austin Spurs and winning the league title in 2018 in the process.
Brimah has 269 blocks to his name in the G League.
