Basketballghana.com understands Ghanaian born Great Britain International player Akwasi Yeboah has been named in the latest call ups to the national team.
Great Britain is preparing to play in qualification games to the 2022 EuroBasket later this month with games scheduled to be held in Perm, Russia in a bubble.
Yeboah graduated from Rutgers University as a graduate transfer after playing extensively at Stony Brook University after moving to the United States from England.
He featured sparingly in the previous qualification games but is expected to play more minutes as he continues to impress in his first season as a professional at French club St. Quentin.
The 6 foot 6 inch Small Forward is averaging 11.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and an assist this season for St. Quentin who rank fifth in the league standings with six wins and three losses.
Yeboah paced his team’s last win at the time of writing with 17 points, two rebounds, a steal and an assist in 31 minutes of action.
In the last round of qualifiers, Yeboah played against France and fellow Ghanaian born player Yacouba Ouattara.
