Basketballghana.com gathers Ghanaian-Italian international Shooting Guard/ Small Forward Awudu Abass has been excluded from the latest call ups to the Italian National Team.
The latest round of the EuroBasket qualifiers takes place later this month with all games to be played in Perm, Russia in a bubble environment.
Abass was not included in the 12 man list by Head Coach Romeo Sacchetti who announced the team after drawing from an initial 24 man pool of players.
Virtus Bologna Forward Abass played in the previous round of games and had an extensive run with Italy at the 2019 World Cup held in China.
However, the 28 year old’s play has dipped this season in his first campaign with Bologna after signing from Germani Brescia following a two year stint.
The former Cantu player is averaging 5.2 points and 2.3 rebounds this season compared to his averages of 12 points and five rebounds with Brescia.
Virtus ranks fourth in the league with 12 win and six losses.
