Amida dunks ball in an Intercontinetal Cup game

Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Center Amida Brimah has turned 27 as he plots his way back into the NBA for good following an extensive run of attempts in previous seasons.

The 6 foot 10 inch player is on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants roster in the NBA Gatorade League after getting assigned there by Fort Wayne’s NBA affiliate Indiana Pacers earlier this year.

Fort Wayne just tipped off its G League season run but lost 120-125 to Westchester Knicks; the G League campaign is taking place in a bubble inside the Disney World Complex in Orlando.

This is Brimah’s fourth time appearing on a G League roster after spending two seasons with Austin Spurs and winning the 2018 Championship.

Brimah with Red Star

He was scheduled to play last season with Fort Wayne but an ACL injury forced him to miss the entire season. Since graduating from University of Connecticut (UCONN) with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Economics, Brimah has had a brief stint in Europe with Red Star Belgrade.

The former Accra based Brimah won the National College Basketball Championship with UCONN in 2014.
