Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian youngster Nathan Mensah produced a solid performance in aid San Diego State University’s latest win in the 2020-2021 US Men’s College Basketball Regular Season.
San Diego spanked San Jose State University 85-54 to record its 14th win in 18 games while San Jose recorded its 12th loss in 17 games.
After struggling in games played at altitude against the likes of Utah State University and University of Wyoming, Mensah bounced back with a solid performance against San Jose.
The 6 foot 10 inch defender recorded 12 points, nine rebounds, three steals and a block in 22 minutes as a starter; Mensah was rebound shy of a double-double mere days after recording just eight points and a rebound in 13 minutes against Wyoming.
The third year player has historically struggled in games played at altitude and is coming off surgery to fix a respiratory illness that cost much of last season’s campaign.
San Diego plays San Jose again on Wednesday, February 10 then goes on a lengthy break before taking on Fresno State on February 18.
