Ghana Forward Ben Bentil moved into the starting lineup of Panathinaikos and aided the team’s win over fellow Greek rival Olympiakos in the last round of EuroLeague games played this weekend.
Panathinaikos beat Olympiakos 88-77 for its ninth win in the 2020-2021 Regular Season of Europe’s premier basketball competition.
The 6 foot 8 inch player registered 10 points, five rebounds and two steals in 19:39 minutes of play; he however, turned the ball over twice.
Aside the pair of turnovers, Bentil was efficient in the game as he converted three of five shots in total while scoring all four free throw attempts.
This production was on the back of a 12 points in 13 minutes outing in the Greek League against Promitheas for Bentil as he grows more comfortable in recently hired Coach Oded Kattash’s scheme.
Bentil has the chance to continue his impressive run in midweek when Panathinaikos plays Peristeri in the Greek Cup Quarterfinal at 18:00 GMT. Bentil played for Peristeri before joining Panathinaikos.
