Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Forward Ben Bentil featured in Panathinaikos 500th game in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Basketball Championship.
Bentil played for Panathinaikos in a 91-72 win over Spanish side Valencia Basket in the latest round of EuroLeague games played this weekend.
Playing 7:26 minutes off the bench, Bentil registered seven points, a rebound, an assist and a steal converting three of six attempts in the contest.
The win comes on the back of a 66-76 loss to Real Madrid earlier in the week as Panathinaikos chased the historic mark in Europe’s premier competition.
Beating Valencia means Panathinaikos has 301 wins in 500 games which is the fourth highest in the history of the prestigious competition.
Panathinaikos is the fifth team in the EuroLeague to reach the 500th game mark; the team has won the competition on six occasions and outrebounded Valencia 39-27 to clinch the win.
Bentil is competing in the EuroLeague for the second year in a row following his debut in the 2019-2020 campaign. He was the 51st overall pick in the NBA Draft.
