Mali Basketball Federation President Harouna Maiga has stated his Federation’s partnership with Synergy Sports to stream league games played in the West African nation worldwide is aimed at promoting national competitions.
He said this after Mali became the African country to adopt the FIBA Connected Stadiums initiative which provides video production for live streaming of games according to basketball’s world governing body FIBA.
The historic move was announced this past week and ensures Mali’s National Men’s and Women’s League games would be televised live on the international platform.
This according to Maiga is in line with the Federation’s aim to draw more audience to Mali basketball more in an interview with FIBA where he stated:
“This partnership is in line with our organization’s policy of promotion and development of national basketball, which we launched with our new federation team 3 years ago. Our goal is to promote national competitions and ensure that they shine even beyond our borders.”
Mali is set to play in the final window of qualifiers for this year’s African Nations Championship.
