In back to back losses against Utah State University, Ghana’s Nathan Mensah had a mixed bag of results for San Diego State University.
Both games had low scores for the season for either team with Utah State winning the first matchup 64-59 and clinching a second win thanks to a 57-45 win; the latter game was played earlier today.
Mensah started at Center for the Aztecs and had an impressive showing in the first matchup but endured a frustrating outing in the second.
The 6 foot 10 inch defender registered 13 points, nine rebounds, an assist, two blocks and three steals in 25 minutes. He converted six of nine shots from two point range and scored one of two free throws in the first encounter.
Mensah could only register three points, a block and five rebounds in 21 minutes and unlike the previous encounter, the third player scored one of five attempts from two point range and converted one of five attempts from the free throw line.
The former Accra based player is averaging 10.8 points and 7.5 rebounds in 12 games this season.
