FIBA President Hamane Niang has expressed his excitement over his outfit’s partnership with the NBA to organize the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

The continental competition is to be staged later this year after the outbreak of the corona virus forced organizers to postpone the start of the tournament twice in 2020.

The NBA-FIBA organized BAL is to have 12 teams representing various countries on the African continent battle it out for the chance to win a competition that is primed for major success.

He made this known in a New Year message he delivered recently where he highlighted upcoming competitions such as the Olympic Games which is due to have 3×3 games featured for the first time ever.
