Members of all 2020 UPAC semifinal teams have sent Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James a lovely birthday message. The special edition of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship is taking place at the Tema Community 4 Basketball Court.
James celebrates his 36th birthday today on the back of winning his fourth NBA title in his second season with the Lakers; he won two titles with Miami Heat and one with Cleveland Cavaliers.
“All the way from the UPAC Basketball Championship 2020, the finals, Accra Ghana we say King James, Happy Birthday” was the message.
He is on pace to end his career with the most points scored by a player in the NBA; he was drafted number one overall in the famed 2003 NBA Draft.
LeBron is playing in his 18th season in the NBA and is regarded as arguably the greatest player of all time in the sport; he has won two gold medals with Team USA at the Olympics in 2008 and 2012.
Players from Radford University College, Takoradi Technical University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Professional Studies are the 2020 UPAC Semifinalists.
