Radford v KsTU (red)

Takoradi Technical University (TTU) and Radford University College have picked up a pair of wins in the special edition of the 2020 UPAC.

The special Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship commenced earlier today and is scheduled to end on Wednesday, December 30.

TTU picked a straightforward 48-16 win over Kings University College; the latter is making its second appearance in Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball tournament.

Mustapha Ahmed led the onslaught on Kings with strong points from the post with Benjamin Sagoe and Desmond Appiah run the point effectively.

In the follow up game between Kumasi Technical University and Radford University College, Kumasi Technical lost 36-51 despite an inspired effort from sharp shooter Clinton Oduro.

Oduro scored a variety of shots from three point range and jump shots to keep his team in contention to take the game’s lead but a balanced from a deep team Radford.

Radford University had the likes of Mubarak Alhassan, Kontor Appiah, Godwin Tetteh and Abraham Allotey contributing points.

Kings University needs to beat University of Professional Studies (UPSA) to stay in play to challenge for a place in the semifinals.
