Ghana Center Joel Mensah was in action for James Madison University and was a good contributor to the team’s latest win in the US Men’s College Basketball 2020-2021 season.
James Madison clinched a 98-55 win over Alice Lloyd University after bouncing back from a series of COVID 19 positive cases that forced the team to suspend all activities.
Mensah climbed off the bench and played 13 minutes in the contest registering six points, a block and four rebounds; the downside to his encouraging night was committing three turnovers.
Aside the turnovers, the third year player had an efficient shooting night where he scored one of three shot attempts from the field and converted all four free throw attempts.
In his debut season for James Madison and under Coach Mark Byington, Mensah has had a tough time playing extensive minutes. His performance against Alice Lloyd was his best since he joined the team from San Diego State University this past offseason.
James Madison has three wins in five games this season and play Virginia Commonwealth University next.
