Basketballghana.com can report rising Ghanaian Center Nathan Mensah led all players in blocked shots in San Diego State University Men’s Basketball first loss of the 2020-2021 Season.
San Diego State lost 62-72 to Brigham Young University after bagging four straight wins this season; Mensah led the game with three blocks and was the only San Diego player to register number in that statistical category.
In 24 minutes as the starting Center, the third year player added eight points, three rebounds and an assist as the main defensive anchor for The Aztecs.
The 6 foot 11 inch defender was efficient in his latest outing as he scored four of five free throws, and scored both shots from two point range and attempted no three point shot.
With the exception of Matt Mitchell, no San Diego player scored in double figures; Mitchell scored 35 points in the loss. Mensah’s performance came on the back of a 17 point, 15 rebound double double in a win over Arizona State University.
