After his 2019-2020 season was cut short due to a respiratory issue and a slow start to the 2020-2021 season, Ghana’s Nathan Mensah broke out with a dominant display.
He starred in San Diego State Men’s Basketball Team’s 80-68 win over Arizona State University in the fourth game of the season for San Diego.
The third year player recorded a first half double-double en route to registering a 17 point, 15 rebound performance propped up by a steal, an assist and three blocks in 28 minutes.
It was the first time the 6 foot 11 inch Mensah recorded double digits in points and rebounds this season as he continues to round up his play following a long absence.
He showed improvement in free throw shooting as he scored three of four attempts in the game and scored a couple of points with dunks.
San Diego has won all four games played this season and is due to play against Brigham Young University on Friday, December 18.
