Ghana’s Ben Bentil and his Panathinaikos side are set to compete later today in the Greek Basketball League at 15:00 GMT after its latest European outing.
Today’s game tips off at 15:00 GMT with Panathinaikos playing Ionikos Nikaias on the back of bagging an impressive 80-77 win over Olimpia Milano in the EuroLeague Basketball Championship.
The win was Panathianikos’ fourth in 10 games played this season with Bentil coming off the bench to tally three points and a rebound in 11:25 minutes.
The 6 foot 8 inch Sekondi native scored 12 points in his last league appearance after having another slow start to the season; this is Bentil’s second season with Panathinaikos.
After bagging last season’s league title though it was truncated due to the outbreak of the corona virus; The Athens based side has three wins in three games and rank fourth in the 12 team league standings.
Bentil is the first Ghana born player to get drafted into the NBA and play in the NBA.
