Basketballghana.com can report celebrated Wheelchair Basketball player and athlete Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe has delivered his message of peace ahead of Ghana’s Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
The West African nation is set to go to the polls on Monday, December 7 to elect individuals to serve the next term of governance in the country.
Speaking exclusively to Ghana’s leading basketball portal, the reigning Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards Personality of the Year winner preached an anti-war message.
“No more disability during and after Election 2020. Think about us we persons living with disability before doing anything that will bring war. We have only one Ghana” he said.
Nkegbe is preparing to represent Ghana at next year’s Tokyo Olympics in the Wheelchair sprint event; competing in Tokyo would be Nkegbe’s fourth Olympic appearance which is a new national record for any athlete.
Nkegbe won the Desert Challenge in the US among other impressive victories to qualify to the Olympics.
