Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana’s Ben Bentil started for the first time for Greek side Panathinaikos in the EuroLeague in the latest round of games played in the prestigious competition.
Bentil helped Panathinaikos clinch an 83-76 win over Bayern Munich; the win is Panathinaikos’ third win in the 2020-2021 EuroLeague season.
6 foot 8 inch Bentil started at Power Forward and registered nine points, two rebounds and two assists in 18:38 minutes of action.
The former Providence College standout scored three of five field goal attempts including a two handed dunk and another that was blocked and scored one his two attempted three point shots in the game.
After playing in seven of Panathinaikos nine games in the competition, this was Bentil’s first start after playing the majority of the campaign off the bench.
This marks a good run for the 2016 NBA Draft 51st pick who scored 12 points in a league win over Kolossos prior to the game against Bayern.
