The just ended Game On Tournament played out at the Tema Community 4 Basketball Court on Sunday, November 22 was a success and a big indication on what competition and fan support is likely to be when the Tema Basketball League (TBL) commences.
Players who had not competed on teams in a competition setting for a long while showed they had been working to stay in shape due to a ban on contact sports in Ghana due to COVID 19 restrictions.
The competition also had a strong spectator turn out as fans thronged to the Chinese Court to witness the first competitive basketball event since the 2019 League season ended in the first half of the year.
Game On Tournament was put together by TBL and Ground Up Music Group to engage stakeholders in the basketball fraternity and entertain fans.
Tema Community 4 Youngings emerged on top thanks to a 33-30 win over Tema Community 4 Oldies in the final game; C4 Youngings beat Sakumono Youngings 42-29 to make the finals.
