Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian Center Amida Brimah has returned to NBA side Indiana Pacers after signing a deal with the outfit.
The signing was confirmed in the wee hours of Sunday, November 22 by Yahoo Sports Reporter Chris Haynes who announced Brimah’s signing to Indiana last season.
The 6 foot 10 inch defender signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Pacers last season and featured in the team’s preseason tour and was expected to be assigned to Indiana’s Gatorade League affiliate Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
However, he tore his ACL and missed the entire 2019-2020 season as a result; the Gatorade League (G League) is the NBA’s development league.
Brimah has competed for two seasons in the Gatorade League as a member of the Austin Spurs which is affiliated to five time NBA Champions San Antonio Spurs.
With Austin, Brimah won the G League title and was named to the All Defensive First Team twice; he won the national championship title during his time at the University of Connecticut.
