Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-Italian Basketball Player Awudu Abass has completed self isolation and is ready to return to compete for his team Virtus Bologna.

The Shooting Guard who also plays the Small Forward position underwent the procedure in accordance with protocols related to COVID 19.

According to Italian news outlet pianetabasket, Abass “has concluded his period of fiduciary isolation and should receive the green light to support the medical examination”.

Due to isolation, Abass has been absent for Bologna’s games thus far in November including the EuroCup which is Europe’s second tier competition.

The former Germani Brescia player is in his first season with Bologna and prior to his medical induced absence, he had received a call up to the Italian National Team for upcoming 2022 EuroBasket qualifiers.

The 27 year old is averaging 7.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists so far in the 2020-2021 season; Bologna rank fifth in the 16 team Serie A standings with four win in seven games. Virtus has progressed to the Round of 16 in the EuroCup.
