North Carolina State University Men’s Basketball Head Coach Kevin Keatts has stated he is impressed with the quality of new players on the team.
The team has five freshmen on its roster for the 2020-2021 season including Ghana’s Ebenezer Dowuona who starred at The Heritage High School prior.
The 6 foot 11 inch player plays the Center position and is an athletic rim protector, shot blocker and rebounder with an expanding offensive game.
Previewing the season in an interview with the University’s media, Keatts praised the players academics score and added;
“I have been impressed with these guys (freshmen)…they are unbelievable people. They all love to work anytime they can get into the gym on their own… they are in there working on their game.”
Aside Dowuona, Forwards Nick Farrar and Jaylon Gibson and Guards Cam Hayes and Shakeel Moore are the first year players on the team.
Dowuona is expected to play as a back up to DJ Funderburk who is in his Senior Year this season.
