San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Team Head Coach Brian Dutcher has commended Nathan Mensah’s return to the team.
Ghanaian Center Mensah made his return to five on five scrimmages for the first time since suffering from respiratory issues in the previous season that forced him to sit out the rest of the campaign after just 13 games.
According to San Diego Union-Tribune, long serving Coach Dutcher praised Mensah’s presence on the roster stating:
“It’s good to have him back out there…It’s good to have Nathan out there competing at a high level. He’s a difference-maker. He is a presence on the floor and will make a huge difference for us this year.”
Heading to his third year, Mensah is expected to breakout and make good on his immense potential as an athletic shot blocker and emerging offensive player.
In 13 games last season, Mensah averaged 6.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game; the 2020-2021 season is expected to commence in December.
