Basketballghana.com can confirm the groupings for this year’s edition of StreetBall At the Mall Basketball Tournament have been drawn.
The competition is scheduled to run from Saturday, October 17 to Sunday, October 18 at the Kumasi City Mall in Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi.
Eight teams are competing in the 2020 Tournament which is the fourth edition of the Kumasi based tourney that is gaining popularity fast.
Defending champions Ayeduase Snipers, Dichemso Chiefs Basketball Academy have been drawn in Group A alongside Asawasi Comets and Young Boys.
In Group B, Asafo Klicks leads the way with Health Ballers, Patasi Invaders and Ejisu Razors featured; Snipers are the defending Kumasi Basketball League Champions.
The tournament is organized by sports apparel company ClockWork Brand and serves as a much needed avenue outside the league to stakeholders.
It is the first main basketball event to roll out after the ban on contact sports in Ghana due to the corona virus pandemic was lifted. Basketballghana.com understands tournament games are to be staged at the Mall Car Park.
