Ghanaian-Italian Guard David Cournooh had a poor showing in his first Italian Serie A game for his new side Vanoli Cremona in the first league game of the 2020-2021 season.
Vanoli lost 77-102 to Trieste where Cournooh scored just three points, two rebounds and an assist in 26 minutes as a starter for Cremona.
This was Cournooh’s second straight game where he scored three points and failed to crack the double digit mark; he scored three points in a 63-73 loss to Fortitudo Bologna in the Super Cup which was Cremona’s final game before the league season opening game.
After a strong start to life at the team he joined this offseason where he scored in double figures in two games on the bounce, the veteran playmaker’s production has cooled off lately.
He would be looking to halt the poor run this weekend when Cremona plays Reyer Venezia on Sunday, October 4; Venezia beat Brindisi 75-67 in its first game of the new season in Italy.
