Ghana’s Ben Bentil was in action for Greek Giant Panathinaikos last night as the team battled Peristeri BC in the Greek Super Cup but lost.
Panathinaikos lost 82-90 to Peristeri to miss out on the chance to clinch the Super Cup; Bentil also missed the chance to beat his former prior to the start of the 2020-2021 season.
The 6 foot 8 inch Small Forward/Power Forward scored five points in the game with Nemanja Nedovic leading Panathinaikos with 18 points.
Promitheas beat AEK Athens 98-88 to book a spot in the final game; AEK and Promitheas beat the Athens duo to make the final. Panathinaikos lost to AEK 77-87 in a friendly game prior to the Super Cup tie.
Bentil played for Peristeri for a season before moving to Panathinaikos on a two year deal before the start of the 2019-2020 season. His strong play at Peristeri led to the move which got him his first league title since turning pro in 2016.
