Basketballghana.com can report Ghana International Basketball player Ben Bentil has featured in Panathinaikos friendly games as the Greek team continues to prepare for the upcoming season.
The 2020-2021 season is due to commence on October 10 with Panathinaikos set to play Aris in the opening game; Panathinaikos won the 2019-2020 title that failed to conclude due to the corona virus pandemic.
Bentil played as Panathinaikos beat Rytas Vilnius 75-67 and a 77-87 loss to AEK with the loss coming in this past weekend; Bentil scored three points in the loss.
The Sekondi native is heading to his second season with Panathinaikos and his third season overall in Greece after playing for Peristeri in the 2018-2019 season.
Bentil is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA after a brief stint with Dallas Mavericks; he was also the first to be drafted after getting selected 51st overall in the 2016 NBA Draft.
He averaged 4.3 points and 4.5 rebounds in his first season at Panathinaikos where he played for celebrated Coach Rick Pitino.
