Albert Opare Asamoah, a Teacher, has won the opening stage of the You Think You Know Sports Quiz Show; he won the quiz staged earlier today.
Asamoah was one of four contestants who competed in the first of four qualification stages of the innovative online sports show.
The program-organized by award winning sports firm RITE Sports Limited-is being held virtually to observe COVID 19 related restrictions in Ghana.
Contestants are to answer questions on local and international news on basketball and football between Monday September 14 and Thursday, September 17 with the (daily) winners set to compete on Friday, September 18 for the monthly crown.
The top two placed contestants progress to the grand edition to be held in December; the top two contestants from the October and November editions will also compete in the same month.
Asamoah and Ebenezer Azu-Mate were tied on 15 points after the first round of questions but a correct answer in the bonus round clinched the win for Asamoah.
Four contestants compete tomorrow at 15:00 GMT on RiteSportsLtd on Instagram.
