In a couple of hours, Ghana’s Ben Bentil is set to feature for Panathinaikos in the Greek team’s preseason game against German side Alba Berlin.
The game is to take place in Kaunas, Lithuania where the WE’RE BACK PRESEASON TOUR is being held with the competition hosting a bevy of teams that compete in Europe’s top tier tournament-the EuroLeague.
The 6 foot 8 inch Small/Power Forward played in Panathinaikos 74-81 loss to home side Zalgiris Kaunas on Saturday, September 12 and scored a free throw to reduce his team’s deficit to five (54-59) at the end of the third quarter.
Bentil is in his second season with the Greek giant and his debut season ended with Panathinaikos winning another League title albeit after the league was cancelled close to the end due to the corona virus pandemic.
The team won’t have the services of Guard Jimmer Fredette who has signed for Shanghai Sharks in China. He averaged 12.9 points and 1.8 assists.
