Basketballghana.com can confirm the official sod cutting ceremony for the Mfantsipim School Basketball Court Project takes place this weekend.

The event is due to come off on Saturday, September 12 at the designated site of the project on the School’s Campus; the program commences at 11:00 GMT.

The project includes construction of a brand new playing surface with seating areas that are roofed and ample space for teams and game officials on the sidelines.

Ghana’s biggest hoops portal gathers the Basketball project is part of a grand scheme to upgrade sports facilities at one of the West African nation’s most prestigious Senior High Schools with facilities for football, volleyball and swimming in line to get facelifts or built from scratch.

The new court will replace the old playing edifice that has served as the grounds for players to train en route to winning a record five titles at the highly rated Sprite Ball Championship.

Mfantsipim won the 2019 edition-fifth overall- after three straight losses in the final game.
