Reports reaching Basketballghana.com indicates former students of Mfantsipim School have teamed up to contribute to the construction of a new basketball court for the Senior High School.
Members of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) are funding the project that puts the High School powerhouse in line for a spanking new facility.
The 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2020 MOBA Groups are contributing to make this project a reality in the coming years for their alma mater.
The official sod cutting ceremony takes place on Saturday, September 12 at the School premises with event starting at 11:00 GMT.
Mfantsipim School has dominated the High School basketball landscape over a decade with the School winning five Sprite Ball Championship titles and making the final game in five straight years.
The School’s title count is the highest in the prestigious competition’s history and the present facility has outlived its time prompting the need for a new one.
The project when done should maintain the institution’s firm grip at the top of High School Basketball.
