Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Basketball Player Nathan Mensah is one of three players on San Diego State University Men’s Basketball starting unit set to compete in the upcoming season.
Alongside Forward Matt Mitchell and Guard Jordan Schakel, Mensah will compete for the Aztecs as a starter following his run in the 2019-2020 season.
The upcoming campaign is Mensah’s third with San Diego State and is expected to be a breakout year for the 6 foot 10 inch player.
Mensah plays the Center position and averaged 6.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 20.2 minutes across 13 games last season.
However, complications with his lungs forced him to miss the remainder of the season as San Diego State ended the year with 28 wins and a loss.
The team was set to compete in the postseason NCAA Tournament but those hopes were dashed as the season was cancelled due to the corona virus pandemic.
Ghana’s leading hoops portal understands Mensah has made a full recovery and will play games.
