Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-French International Basketball player Yakuba Ouattara has trained for the first time with Spanish side Coosur Real Betis.
This was the 28 year old Shooting Guard’s first run out with the team he signed for this offseason after a multiple year run with French side Monaco.
Ouattara will suit up and compete in the Spanish Endesa League- which is considered one of the top leagues in the world-for the first time in his career.
He is coming off an offseason where he prepared for the upcoming campaign by competing in the Amiral League which is the French version of the NBA’s Summer League.
His team won the competition with Ouattara playing a key role in the win and assisted Tournament MVP Adam Mokoka on a highlight play in the final.
Fellow newcomer Ryan Harrow joined Ouattara in training with Betis for the first time after signing from Greek side Peristeri BC.
Ouattara was born in Tepa, Ghana before moving to France.
