Basketballghana.com can confirm SEED Academy: Ghana will host a virtual basketball camp for Ghana’s young basketball players to get acquainted with innovative ways on training in the sport.
The program takes place and is headlined by former Ghanaian-British International Power Forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu. The program runs from 17:00 GMT to 22:00 GMT.
Registration for the program is free and prospective participants can do so by visiting the Academy’s website. The program is to be conducted virtually due to the corona virus pandemic in Ghana that has caused multiple suspensions to basketball programs and other sports programs in the country.
A statement from the Academy’s official Twitter highlighted the presence of the virus as the main cause for the switch to virtual.
“Since we couldn’t make to Ghana due to COVID, @Pops will be hosting our Annual Camp virtually on the 27th August”.
In 2019, General Manager of NBA Gatorade League outfit Capital City Go-Go Pops Mensah-Bonsu, held his first camp in Ghana with Basketball Africa League Executive John Manyo-Plange present.
