Rising Ghanaian basketball player Nathan Mensah has been listed high in the latest rankings of players who feature in Mountain West Conference in USA’s Men’s College Basketball.
The rankings were made ahead of the 2020-2021 season by news outlet MountainWestWire and were based on what transpired in the 2019-2020 season which ended abruptly due to the corona virus pandemic.
Ahead of the upcoming season, San Diego State University Center Mensah was ranked as the second best Rebounder in the Conference.
In the immediate past campaign, the 6 foot 10 inch player averaged 6.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 20.2 minutes across 13 appearances.
He was ranked by the same outlet as the best shot blocker in the conference heading to the new season but finished in second placed in rebounding behind Justin Bean of Utah State.
Mensah’s appearances were limited as he suffered a season ending pulmonary injury; he is expected to continue as the starting Center as he heads into his third season.
