Basketballghana.com understands engaging the sports community during the COVID pandemic is at the heart of new quiz show “You Think You Know Sports”.
The upcoming program is an online sports quiz show that focuses on football and basketball; questions on the sports disciplines mentioned above are to be answered by contestants.
The contestants will do so via event firm RITE Sports’ Instagram page-@RITESportsLtd; the event will commence and conclude in September with as many as 16 contestants vying for the top prize.
“This is a sports quiz programme to engage the sports community positively monthly and reward the ultimate winner 1000 Ghana cedis” RITESports CEO Yaw Sakyi Afari said.
Ghana ranks as one of the hardest hit nations in Africa by COVID 19 with over 200 deaths and 20,000 cases of infections at the time of writing. This is the main reason behind the quiz’s online format to adhere to safety protocols.
This has forced sports events into suspension and outright cancellation including the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship. The 2020 UPAC was suspended in March.
