Ghanaian-Italian Basketball Player David Cournooh has pointed out reasons behind his move to Italian Serie A side Vanoli Cremona this offseason.

The veteran player moved from fellow Italian side Virtus Bologna where he spent two seasons mostly in the team’s second unit and made consistent appearances off the bench.

Speaking at his unveiling which took place recently, the 30 year old Point Guard who can play the shooting Guard position stated:

“Well first of all I never won against Vanoli…also I know that I will have responsibilities and this does not scare me, on the contrary, it motivates me. I want to get involved.”

At a certain point this offseason, there were signs that suggested Cournooh would return to Bologna for a third season but a possible deal fell through late before the switch.

Cremona ranked sixth while Bologna ranked first in the 2019-2020 season that ended abruptly and eventually got cancelled due to the corona virus outbreak.

Cournooh represented Italy at the 2006 Mediterranean Games in Turkey and has featured for Italy at the Under 20 level.
