Basketballghana.con can confirm rising Ghanaian basketball player Derrick Fiifi Quansah’s jersey number on the East Carolina University (ECU) Men’s Basketball Team is “0”.
The news was confirmed after the Pirates officially released information on members of the roster ahead of the 2020-2021 season.
In the lead up to the release, there had been uncertainty regarding the number Quansah would opt for his jersey since he had been captured in East Carolina jerseys with different numbers.
After accepting the University’s scholarship offer, Quansah had the number “33” on his jersey; in another shot welcoming the Cape Coast native to ECU, he was captured with the number “0” on his jersey.
However, third year player Miles James has the jersey number 33 with Center/ Forward Edra Luster wearing number “44”; Luster’s number is the highest on the roster.
Quansah and Luster are two of four players who were measured at 7 feet; First year player Fiifi plans to major in Information Technology.
