Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian Center Joel Mensah will retain his jersey number despite switching teams this offseason.

The bright basketball prospect’s jersey number was 35 during his two year stint at San Diego State University where he featured mostly off the bench and led to his transfer to James Madison University.

At James Madison, the third year defender will maintain his jersey number after his new team confirmed jersey numbers for the 2020-2021 season.

Mensah is the only player on James Madison’s team with his jersey number in the 30’s column; his new teammates picked numbers between 0 and 23.

Unlike his time at San Diego State, the 6 foot 10 inch player is expected to start games and play extensively due to his experience at the College level and athletic build.
