Recently signed Cremona Vanoli Guard David Cournooh has expressed his readiness to play for his new club after he was officially unveiled by the club.
The 30 year Ghanaian-Italian player moved this offseason from fellow Italian Serie A side Virtus Bologna after a two year run that looked to be heading for a third year until the deal was cancelled.
Cournooh moved to Cremona who finished sixth in the 2019-2020 league season which was cancelled due to the corona virus pandemic in Italy.
Speaking at the unveiling, the 6 foot 2 inch player stated, “First of all, I want to thank the President Aldo Vanoli and all the technical staff for their trust. I’m very happy. I can’t wait to start the season, many months have passed since the last game and I’m looking forward to playing.”
Cournooh has represented Italy’s Senior National team before including appearances at the 2016 Mediterranean Games held in Turkey. He averaged 4.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 18 games in the domestic league.
