Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-American Shooting Guard/ Small Forward Bashir Ahmed has signed a deal with French side Alm Evreaux.

The Swingman will compete in the 2020-2021 season with the French Pro B side after playing last season in Croatia for KK Zadar.

This is scheduled to be Ahmed’s third year as a professional since graduating from St. John’s University; prior to his run with St. John’s, he played two seasons with Hutchinson Community College where he was named an All American in Division II of USA’s Men’s College Basketball.

In eight games, mostly as a substitute, 26 year old Ahmed averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. He also played nine games with Zadar in the Adriatic League where he averaged 8.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game; the Adraitic league has teams from Serbia, Montenegro and Bulgaria feature.

His athletic plays and strong defensive game should help Evreaux finish higher in the upcoming season; the previous season had the team rank 16th in the 18 team Pro B with nine wins and 14 losses.
