Ghana born French International Shooting Guard Yakuba Ouattara has signed for Spanish top flight side Coosur Real Betis and has marked his preparation for his debut season with a win at the Amiral League.
The League which mirrors the NBA’s Summer League is a five day competition held in France that has young and veteran players form teams and competes for the top prize.
The League was also the first basketball tournament held in France since the corona virus outbreak and fans were present to witness games.
Ouattara’s Team Amiral beat Quai 54 74-62 in the final game with Tournament Most Valuable Player Adam Mokoka leading the way with 18 points.
In one of the game’s high points, Ouattara weaved his way through opposing players before setting up Mokoka for an easy two handed dunk.
The 28 year old Guard averaged 11 points and 4.4rebounds in his final season with AS Monaco in the French Pro A League before departing. He has represented France at the Under 20 and Senior Levels.
