Basketballghana.com can confirm Small Forward Reggie Agbeko has signed a contract to play for Spanish side Africole Villarrobledo. The deal was announced on Monday, July 27.
The 6 foot 7 Inch player also plays the Power Forward position and is likely to feature in the starting lineup of the team in Spain’s lower division.
This is Agbeko’s second team to sign for in Spain after competing in the 2019-2020 season for fellow division outfit Arcos Albacete.
In 24 games before the league season was suspended and eventually cancelled due to the corona virus, Agbeko featured for Albacete largely off the bench.
He averaged 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for Albacete in his debut season in one of the world’s most competitive basketball countries.
Prior to his move to Spain, Agbeko played for Horsens IC in Denmark and featured in the league’s final series but missed out on the league title to Bakken.
He played all four seasons at St. Louis University before turning pro.
