Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian Small Forward Reggie Agbeko has signed a deal with Spanish side Agricole Villarrobledo.
Terms of the deal are yet to be disclosed with the team signing the former Cape Coast resident from fellow Spanish lower division side Arcos Albacete.
Agbeko played out the 2019-2020 season with Albacete before the corona virus pandemic forced league authorities to postpone the league and eventually cancel it altogether.
The 27 year old played four years at St. Louis University after moving from Ghana; he turned pro after graduating and played in Denmark for multiple seasons before moving to Spain.
His Danish side Horsens IC made it to the league final but lost to Bakken preventing Agbeko from clinching his first ever silver ware as a pro.
The 6 foot 7 Forward’s experience and skills should help Villarrobledo’s chances of progressing to the elite division; Villarrobledo ended the season with three wins and 10 losses in the first half of the last campaign and posted a seven wins and 15 losses in the second half of the season.
