Basketballghana.com can confirm budding Ghanaian basketball star Ebenezer Dowuona hit the practice court for the first time with North Carolina State University for the first time this week.
The practice observed COVID 19 protocols as staff members at the court were spotted wearing nose masks; Dowuona is one of five first year players for the Wolfpack ahead of the 2020-2021 season.
The previous season was abruptly cancelled due to the fast spread of the corona virus and the lingering issue has forced teams in the Ivy League Conference to postpone the start of the season to January 2021. Ghana’s Yussif Basa-Ama who is set to play for Yale University has been affected.
Dowuona joins a strong frontcourt for North Carolina due to return of D.J. Funderburk and Devon Daniels who made themselves eligible for the 2020 NBA Draft but withdrew to play another season in College.
Ebenzer Dowuona is a 6 foot 10 inch Power Forward/Center who is strong defending the rim and is an athletic player who has a developing offensive game.
