Sales from the Botsyo Sports wear collection will fund parathlete Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe’s preparation for the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
This was highlighted in an exclusive interview Basketballghana.co had with Nkegbe as preparations continue to the grand launch of the sportswear collection later this year.
Partnering with UK based sports kitting company “Pokoo”, the collection comprises tracksuits, shorts, sports bags among others in the latest project from Ghana’s Wheelchair Basketball Captain.
After qualifying to three previous Olympics, Nkegbe secured qualification to next year’s Olympics and will compete in the Wheelchair sprint discipline.
“Any percentage on sales we get will go a long way to support my training and my preparation towards Tokyo to enable me win that first paralympic medal for the nation” he said.
Basketballghana.com can confirm the first batch of apparel has arrived in Ghana and should be available to the public to purchase.
Despite competing on several international circuits in wheelchair racing, wheelchair basketball remains Nkegbe’s favorite; he is a long serving member of Ghana’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team.
