AS Monaco Basketball Club has bid farewell to Ghana born Shooting Guard Yakuba Ouattara and thanked him for his efforts during his time at the club.
Basketballghana.com can confirm 28 year old Ouattara departed Monaco officially after half a decade run with the club to Spain over this past weekend.
He has signed for top flight side Coosur Real Betis for two seasons; the move looked in jeopardy earlier a couple of months back due to economic challenges brought on by the effects of the corona virus pandemic.
After averaging 11 points and 4.4 rebounds per game across 25 games in the French Pro A last season, Monaco wished the former Long Island Nets player.
“Thank You YAK! After 5 years in the jersey flag of Monaco, @Yakuba Ouattara takes off to new horizons. The whole club warmly thanks Yakuba for these unforgettable years and wishes him the best for the rest of his career” the team wrote on its Twitter page.
Ouattara was born in Tepa in Ghana but has represented France at the Under 20 and Senior Levels.
