Basketballghana.com confirm Ghana born French International player Yakuba Ouattara has departed Monaco and signed for Coosur Real Betis.

The Spanish side has signed the Shooting Guard on a two year contract but financial details of the deal are yet to be released.

This ends Ouattara’s five year run with Monaco in the French Pro A where the Tepa born player won two domestic titles with the province club.

Moving to Betis is another step up for Ouattara since the Spanish Endesa League is rated higher than the French Pro A. The 28 year old player featured briefly for Long Island Nets in the NBA Gatorade League on the books of Brooklyn Nets in the main NBA.

His tenacity on defense and physical style of play compliments Betis style and his experience competing for France at the Under 20 level and occasionally at the Senior level should improve the team’s overall quality.

In his final season with Monaco, Ouattara averaged 11 points and 4.4 rebounds in 25 minutes in 25 games.
